Everybody loves Chosen Hero Events; but with so many options it's hard to know who to choose! This guide is here to help you figure out which face you should poke when it comes time to start spinning that wheel! Note that some heroes are not on this list at all and there's a very good reason for that: Either those heroes are not very viable or get outperformed by another hero/heroes on this list.
Chaos Melee

Dominus, the Swarm King
+ Multi-Attack each round
+ Buff HP every time he kills, even Buildings
+ Damage enemies in a radius of 2 with each attack, Healing himself in the process
- AI often targets him with Silence
- Buff HP on first turn, after that he typically doesn't have enough enemies to keep feeding him health

Ball'Zt, the Warden(Recommended)
+ Flight can't be hit by non flying melee
+ When attacking, dies and Summon a copy in column making him very hard to get rid of
+ Damage to enemy warlord every time one dies
+ Amazing combo potential with Tesla X or heroes that Buff ATK such as Tengu, Ravencrest or Grand Ma, Reaper
- Status effects such as Freddy, Lord of Terror curse carry over to every copy
- Random selection of front tile for clones
- Can block other melee heroes from being played

Arioch Nemesis Weapon
+ Invulnerability can't be damaged directly
+ Steal Attack to any enemy that doesn't attack him
+ Gives Bleeding to enemies that appear while he's alive
- Low Health means he's easily killed by things like Poisoning, Curse, or Splash
- Bleeding can be Cleansed by Alexandria, Madam Lo'Trix, and Ondine the Foamborn
- Often targeted by Silence

Grand Ma, Reaper
+ Flight makes her unhittable by most Melee
+ Summon a copy in column when she kills an enemy except for Buildings
+ Buff ATK all non- Order allies each turn. Every Grand Ma applies this buff individually.
+ Combos amazingly with Ball'Zt, the Warden, Leader Nilen, or Poison Flos
- Low Health and must be protected
- Vulnerable to Blair/Bastet/Mr. Devil bombs
- Any effect such as Poisoning, Bleeding, or Curse applied to her before the creation of a clone/copy will also apply to the copy

Leader Nilen
+ Stalls/disables melee enemies for one turn
+ Summons gain Attack fast and quickly overwhelm
+ Curse makes short work of even higher Health enemies and also combos well with Void Jewel, Gremory Night Child, and Freddy, Lord of Terror
- Curse and Poisoning and Freeze can be Cleansed by Alexandria, Madam Lo'Trix, and Ondine the Foamborn
- Summons can block other Ranged heroes from being used
- Vulnerable to Blair/Bastet bombs as well as summons vulnerable to Scrap, The King of Garbage and Dominus, the Swarm King

Madam Lo'Trix(Recommended)
+ Puppets protect rows, reflect damage, and Cleanse friendly heroes
+ Win condition from sacrificing Puppets
- Summons are random and can block cells or not protect herself
- Too many Summons can become a problem

|
Necro, Master Lich
+ Gains Health and damages enemies each time an enemy dies
+ Summons 2 Summon/Rotter on the enemy board at the end of your turn who immediately die. This can be used to waste enemy runes from Jimmy Rockerboy or Charon, Soul Catcher
+ Combos amazingly with Tesla X, Apollo, Justia, Law Goddess, or Aphrodite
- Low Attack
- Slow play when not paired with Tesla X or Aphrodite

Yorik, the Risen One
+ One of, if not the best opener in the game
+ Reborn requires him to be "killed" twice
+ Gains Attack each time he kills anything
+ Damages entire line when he appears
+ High Attack
- Low Health
- Needs higher rebirth/levels before his Damage skill is viable

+ Steal health when he appears making him hard to remove
+ Steal Attack from all enemies each time he attacks
+ Gains Spikes each time an enemy attacks
+ Hard counter to Buildings (especially Dark Reaper Morgoth soulbinders)
- Low value on Spikes
- Needs several enemies on the board when he appears to shine

El Mariachi
+ Gives Spikes to all allies including self when played
+ Buff HP to himself before attack for every ally with spikes. This can yield very high Health very quickly
+ Deals % of Health in damage when attacking
+ Combos amazingly with spawn heroes such as Poison Flos, Leader Nilen, or Tai Ling Dragon Dance, as well as Aphrodite
- Depends on having enough allies to make use of his skills
- Low value on Spikes

Morgan, the Sea Tusk(Recommended)
+ One of the highest raw Attack in the game
+ Disabler that can be almost impossible to remove without Groot
- Low raw stats at low levels, making him easily killed by things like Curse, Poisoning, Bleeding, or Splash damage until higher levels and rebirths are achieved

Scrap, the King of Garbage
+ Steal Attack each time an enemy dies
+ Multi-Attack
+ Punch Through for his full attack value to all enemies in front of him
+ Capable of massive, fight ending damage
+ Punishes any hero that spawns relatively weak heroes
- Needs higher rebirths/levels before his Steal Attack becomes truly viable
- Base stats are relatively low, and often does not survive after being placed
- Steal Attack can be Cleansed by Alexandria, Madam Lo'Trix, and Ondine the Foamborn

Snake, the Lizard Prince
+ Cannot be damaged for one turn when placed. Can only be Silenced or Transformed
+ Steal Attack from all non- Nature enemies at the start of turn and can quickly hit very hard
+ On death summons 5 Damage runes for your allies. This can help you overwhelm the enemy with damage
- Needs to die to summon runes
- Steal Attack can be Cleansed by Alexandria, Madam Lo'Trix, and Ondine the Foamborn

Coba, Temple Keeper
+ Provides a decent amount of Warlord Heal
+ very sturdy as the enemy needs to chew through Coba, his summoned Stone and when Coba goes down, the summoned Stone Golem. So it's 3 high Health cards to get past before they can hit your Warlord
- Low Attack (can also be a benefit against Dark Reaper Morgoth turn 3 ability) and low Poisoning damage
- Heal is per enemy which is great but the value is rather low so doesn't help much against high Attack cards
- Poisoning can be Cleansed by Alexandria, Madam Lo'Trix, and Ondine the Foamborn

Groot, Silent Guardian
+ An answer to all heroes except those with Immunity
+ Silence cannot be prevented as it occurs upon play
+ Can Silence Buildings
- Enemies are only Silenced so they will still have their normal stats and can attack as well as potentially shield enemy Ranged heroes
- Not very useful after silencing enemies

Jörmun Grand
+ Hard counter to Aharin Gods Will provided that Aharin doesn't have 2 allies
+ Freeze allows you time to build your board
+ Combo potential with any warlord or hero that Freezes, namely Vixen, The Storm Lord, Ondine the Foamborn, Frost, the Snow Queen, Mizu, the Sea Foam, and Arthur Frost Blade
+ Hard to remove and gets stronger the longer he's alive
- Freeze is random. If more than 2 enemies are present there's no telling which ones get frozen
- Freeze can be Cleansed by Alexandria, Madam Lo'Trix, and Ondine the Foamborn

Triton, The Bottom Herald
+ Incredibly hard to remove without Silence or Transform
+ Hard counter for pesky heroes like Aharin Gods Will, Shadow Shaa-Moona, and Dominus, the Swarm King
+ Survives well, making him good cover for Ranged allies
- Very low Attack
- Not useful for much other than Silence heroes and being a defensive tank

Draggara (Recommended)
+ Hard hitter that Buff ATK both when played and at the end of your turns
+ Buff ATK allies each time they attack, making her combo well with Multi-Attack heroes
- One trick pony and not especially good if not in a deck capable of taking advantage of her buffs to allies
- Likely to be Silenced

Melia, Forest's Daughter
+ Doesn't require attacking the enemy warlord directly to Damage them
+ Combos amazingly with heroes like Coba, Temple Keeper, Dandy Croc, and El Mariachi
+ Poisoning skills aren't Reborn dependent
- Guild Bonus Toxins and Guild Bonus Natural Armor are a must when using her
- Low Health and must be protected
- Poisoning can be Cleansed by Alexandria, Madam Lo'Trix, and Ondine the Foamborn
- Encourages slower play. Dead enemies can't be Poisoning, making her less ideal at higher leagues without a deck centered around poison and Spikes

Vixen, The Storm Lord
+ Can quickly turn the tide of a match with Freeze and Steal Attack skills especially when paired with a Multi-Attack ally
+ Damage to warlord doesn't require attacking them directly
+ Combos amazingly well with Jörmun Grand, Dominus, the Swarm King, Mizu, the Sea Foam
- Relatively fragile and needs to be protected
- Needs Reborn 4 level 16 before 2nd skill reaches 100%
- Third skill vulnerable to Toxin
- Freeze can be Cleansed by Alexandria, Madam Lo'Trix, and Ondine the Foamborn

Mizu, the Sea Foam
+ Control the enemy board by Freeze enemy heroes
+ Protects herself with a summoned Water Elemental
+ Win condition from sacrificing Water Elemental
- Water Elemental needs to have a tile open in order for Mizu to summon it.
- Water Elemental feeds enemy skills that depend on hero deaths such as Tesla X or Scrap, the King of Garbage

Ondine the Foamborn
+ Freezes enemies after they attack
+ Damage to enemies before they attack for each frozen enemy
+ Cleanse for herself and all Nature allies
+ Combos amazingly with Frost, the Snow Queen and Jörmun Grand
- Low Health and must be protected
- Freeze can be Cleansed by Alexandria, Madam Lo'Trix, and Ondine the Foamborn

Tengu, Ravencrest (Recommended)
+ Disabler, very difficult to remove without silence
+ Very good attack buffs for himself and allies
+ Combos amazingly with Nature spawn heroes such as Poison Flos, Mosura Wind Breath, Mother Owl, or Loath, Spore Loser
- Enemy abilities that only require attack such as Villano Mad Genius, Jörmun Grand, and Freddy, Lord of Terror still trigger despite being reduced to 1 attack for a round
