The Colosseum is a game mode that unlocks at League 27 and provides access to three rotating minigames. The Colosseum replaced the Brawl game mode on January 24, 2022.

Mechanics

Retiarius Seal Retiarius Seal are the primary currency for the Colosseum. It costs 20Retiarius Seal to play, and seals restore at a rate of 1 every 24 minutes, up to a maximum of 60. Therefore it takes 24 hours to recover the full amount.

The first chest reward from Daily Quests also rewards 20 Retiarius Seal every day.

Unlike other resources, there is currently no option to purchase seals with gems. Amount held and restoration timer are unaffected by the rotation of the minigames.

Minigames

The Colosseum contains 3 minigames that rotate every 3 days:

On the giant's trail

A simple math puzzle where the goal is to defeat the Giant. The player's army can only move to an adjacent space that contains an enemy army. Fighting an enemy army with a lower number will add their numbers to the player's army. Victory is achieved once the Giant is defeated, regardless of remaining enemies on the field.

Tower of fortitude

A simple math puzzle where the goal is to destroy the enemy towers. After moving to a floor from the player's tower, the player can only move to an adjacent tower floor within the same tower until the enemy tower is destroyed. Fighting an enemy with a lower number will add their numbers to the player's strength. Victory is achieved once all enemies are defeated and all enemy towers are destroyed. Occasionally, the player tower holds a sword icon that can immediately be claimed to add the number to the player's strength even if the number is higher than the base. If there are two enemies on the same floor, they will be fought sequentially from the direction the tower is entered in.

Firing line

A simple line defense where the goal is to survive waves of enemies. Spend resources earned from kills to purchase archers from the backline to place in the two frontlines to defend. Additional archers become available for purchase after a wave is completed. Archers of similar rarity (color) can be merged to become stronger, and can be moved to another space at any time. Any enemy reaching the backline will result in an immediate loss. Victory is achieved once all waves are complete.

Rewards

Each victory in the Colosseum has scaling rewards, based on Maximum League. The chance for each reward is independent of other rewards - it is possible to receive every reward in a single victory. No rewards are earned if defeated.
